About Us
L.M.S. Law College was established on the 7th day of August, 1958 as a Private College. The College was converted into a full – fledged government Law college from 1st April, 1981. The College has been imparting legal education to the students of Manipur and others State from North Eastern region.
To meet the emerging needs of the students in their pursuit for higer legal studies in Manipur, LL.M. Classes have accordingly been opened in the College from the academic year, 1996-97.
The College is situated at Dewlahland, Chingmeirong, Imphal by the eastern side of National High way No.2(New)/39(Old). The college has picturetesque surrounding, serene atmosphere and a congenial environment for study. It is about 2 km. Away from Kangla, the heart of the Imphal City.

ADMISSION
Eligibility for admission:
- A graduate in law of the Manipur University or of any other University recognised by the Manipur University shall be eligible to apply for admission to the LL.M. Part-I course provided he/she obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks computed on the basis of performance of all the three past examinations of the LL.B. Degree.
- Students for the LL.M. Course shall be selected by the Admission Committee on merit based on a combined assessment of: (a) the performance at a written test conducted for the purpose, (b) the past academic record at the LL.B. degree and (c) the performance at a viva-voce conducted to determine the aptitude for higher studies and research. The components of (a) (b) and (c) shall have 40%. 40% and 20% weightages respectively.
- The admission committee shall consist of the Principal of the concerned Law College as Chairman, three faculty members nominated by the Principal and on nominee of the M.U.
